Audiences continue to increase and American soccer fans’ knowledge and interest has increased to where all 20 clubs in England’s top soccer league have their own U.S. followings. The Premier League opened an international office in New York last month.NBC’s goal is to cater to that educated fan base while attracting new followers.Pierre Moossa, the coordinating producer of the network’s Premier League coverage, said that approach hasn’t changed since NBC’s first telecast in August of 2013, while adding that the network is still trying to improve its broadcasts.“We spent a lot of time the last 10 years growing a Premier League fan base for generations to come, and we can see tangible evidence of that impact,” Moossa said. “I think you have your core principles, but you have to try different ways to reach that audience. I think coverage has to evolve, but as ...

Colorado brewpub named best in the country

DENVER (KDVR) — USA Today's 10 Best readers voted for the best brewpubs in the country, and a Colorado location made the number one spot. The highest-voted brewpub in America is the Stronghouse Brew Pub, which is one of the last intact buildings in Telluride's Four Corners. Built in 1892, there's still a rustic feel to the place, except it pours beer now instead of storage for goods from the Rio Grande Southern Railway, according to its website. The building went through many business owners before landing in the Stronghouse Preservation hands in 2020 and renovating it into a brewpub. While the business is fairly new, there's a brass cash register that dates back to 1909, according to its website. The beer's made on-site and ranges from ales, stouts, IPAs and sours along with cocktails, draft kombucha and seasonal non-alcoholic beer. Based on Google Reviews, the food is a huge part of the experience as well. While the menu seems like normal bar food, the reviews suggest different."I ...

I am an international superspy — in my head, and definitely on Facebook and Instagram when I’m stalking people — but Gal Gadot is playing the real kind in a new action movie. She has to save the world, and no, it’s not a new “Wonder Woman” sequel. The flick is called “Heart of Stone.” Like my heart: cold, hard and lifeless. This job probably doesn’t come with pizza parties.Jamie Dornan (as Parker): “You know what you signed up for.”Sophie Okonedo (as Nomad): “No friends, no relationships. What we do is too important.”What could be more important than Jamie Dornan? Well, in “Heart of Stone,” turns out, it’s something like world peace.Jamie Dornan (as Parker): “What’s happening?”Matthias Schweighöfer (as Jack of Hearts): “All our systems are offline. We’ve lost the Heart.”International intelligence agent Rachel Stone, played by Gal Gadot, embarks on a dange...

LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) — A search of the wildfire devastation on the Hawaiian island of Maui on Thursday revealed a wasteland of obliterated neighborhoods and landmarks charred beyond recognition, as the death toll rose to at least 53 and survivors told harrowing tales of narrow escapes with only the clothes on their backs.A flyover of historic Lahaina showed entire neighborhoods that had been a vibrant vision of color and island life reduced to gray ash. Block after block was nothing but rubble and blackened foundations, including along famous Front Street, where tourists shopped and dined just days ago. Boats in the harbor were scorched, and smoke hovered over the town, which dates to the 1700s and is the biggest community on the island’s west side.“Lahaina, with a few rare exceptions, has been burned down,” Hawaii Gov. Josh Green told The Associated Press. More than 1,000 structures were destroyed by fires that were still burning, he said.Already the state’s deadlie...

Gina needed five surgeries since the accident on July 21 to repair her broken pelvis, leg, elbow, collarbone, and check bone. She also fractured her neck.“If it was a bigger car or a truck, Ford truck or something they would’ve probably just mowed her over so we’re very lucky,” said Rita Dantona, Gina’s aunt. Unfortunately crashes like this are not uncommon on Malden Street.7Investigates found  23 accidents have occurred there since January o...
